Webblocker & Surfcontrol 2

On 17-12-2005 I wrote about the link between Webblocker & Surfcontrol.
I seams that Watchguard now has it's own page at Surfcontrol.

The categories you can select when you are submitting a site are exactly the same as on the Watchguard. How nice!

I'm a little off topic here, but was wondering if you have any thoughts on a bug I'm trying to deal with:

I am the sysadmin in a school where all the students have laptops. I have an Firebox X700 and am using WebBlocker. Kids have figured out that any site that has a secure certificate can be accessed on HTTPS and bypass the WebBlocker controls.

A recent glance at my traffic showed me I had 3 http connections and 297 https.

Any thoughts on making this a useful firewall and not a thousand dollar doorstop?

If I wanted to setup a web cache residing on my local SAN that my using could query via proxy, how would I implement something like this on a Watchguard x550e w/ Pro v11.3.2 with software:Fireware XTM Pro. Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Success can be achieved only through directed efforts and I made it with Pass4sure WatchGuard dumps while preparing for my IT exam. It became very easy to go through the syllabus topics while working under the guidance of experts. Pass4sure WatchGuard exam material is the choice of many IT candidates now and I am very happy for my choice and result.
